It. Was. Beautiful.
Andy wasn't sure about the taller pasture grass on short-clad legs. Levi came up with this idea. =)
They played nicely while I attempted to take quilt photos. It was late and the wind had picked up, but we had fun anyway. We've had some pretty days, but it's always so windy- and not really all that warm for May.
Until today!
I spent a couple hours mowing the lawn, and it was nice to enjoy the shady backyard in the evening.
Looks like summer is coming!
My children did embarrass me today (I guess they are too young to be embarrassed about it yet themselves); they were playing out in the irrigation ditches........ and got so wet they decided it would be better to take off their clothes! And Levi was pee-ing accross the driveway! Ahhhh! I gave them a good hosing-off with the cold hose, they were COVERED in mud and grinning from ear to ear. After I got the laundry rinsed out and them out of earshot, I had a good laugh about it with Tyler.
Summer is here. =)

It's nice to hear about kids being kids. When I was a kid my Mum reminds me that if I was within a mile of water it was obligatory for me to fall in and get as dirty as possible.
I hope you do some more of these posts Lisa because they're the only way Im going to get to see sunshine for the next 6 months...
I love these evening light pictures! I was just saying yesterday that's my favorite part of summer-- when the light gets low, and it starts to cool off-- a beautiful time of day! Glad your kids have such a nice place to play!
That's too funny!!! Love Levi improvised so Andy could enjoy himself better!
I love the picture of the 3 of them standing in stair step order. That ones good enough to blow up and hang on the wall. Beautiful. And I wish summer was HERE, but glad you are enjoying it there. :) XOXO
I am so happy that your kids gave you something to share and laugh about. I am told that many kids love to get wet and play in the mud. I am sure they thought they were saving you some time and keeping their clothes clean. Ha! This is a story you will have to tell them when they are older and can see the humor in it.
hahahahahah your kids! Mine are WAY too respectable to do anything like that! Hahahah!
Your backyard is beautiful! And with that swingset--looks like a little kid paradise. Particulary with a nice irrigation ditch nearby!
