Summer

What have these silly bugs been doing?
Apparently something quite funny....

It's called Flood Irrigation.....
What a mess!
But they all thoroughly enjoy it.
And I'm learning to not mind the resulting mud-mess and extra laundry.
Maybe it's helping them grow also!
It sure does nice things for the flowers.
That don't get to stay on the bush very long.
He loves to smell ANY flower.  And wants you to also.
Fields are starting to turn gold, readying for harvest.
I love this color rose.

I didn't even know what Peonies were till this summer.
We had a lot of Columbine in our yard in Alaska also.
There's even some Fireweed!
Another color of Peonie.

They are just thick!
This one is right in with them, not sure if it's a Peonie also; but the flowers are gorgeous.
Some Lavender.
A cute kitten that is the main hit around here.  If I had any clue how much all of the kids would enjoy the cat, I would have gotten it a long time ago.  They all cart it around almost constantly.
Silly boy.
Next big hit are the bicycles; they race around on them so fast, and I love all the giggling that accompanies them.
We are thoroughly enjoying our summer here, it's quite nice to get one that stays awhile!

I do believe the one flower that you are not sure of is a peony. I was to a peony garden a few weeks ago and it is amazing all the different kinds and colors. Pinks and white are common, yellows are rare and can be very expensive. We saw one that cost $250 for one plant.

Your flowers are just gorgeous. Im sitting here rugged up in all my winter clothes being slightly envious of seeing Tshirts and actual sun in your photos. Im thrilled you're enjoying summer though. The kids look so happy!
