Pink for Anne

The purple and pink scrap quilt got put on hold last week.  My friend Anne has breast cancer, and I decided she needed a pink quilt. This is the other pattern that uses the same size pieces, but I used some pink scraps with white background. I've always liked quilts with lots of white, but they aren't very practical around here.

I also did the small 2-1/2" border of squares with the smaller scraps.

I put minkie on the back, it's soooo soft.  It's also much warmer and heavier. I hand-stitched the binding to the back, and enjoyed sitting under it's warmth for the process.

My sweet little model. She really likes this quilt!

And I noticed it matches my slippers perfect...

Draped on the quilting table.

Tied up with a bow.

Now we're off to deliver!

Gorgeous! Did you make the bag, too? What a great idea to deliver the quilt in a bag.

Actually, Becky, this did take quite a bit of time because of using scraps. I started on Saturday, not sure how many hours it took. Funny you say that- when I found her blog I was like "that's me!, she sews crazy lots like me!!" So what was she thinking just stopping the blog?? I have loved her ideas, and will surely miss it.
Yes, Katie, I made the bag too- last year- it was leftover from the bazaar stuff. Thanks for your encouragement, ladies!! =D

oh lisa, you are wonderful. I MIGHT have the material picked out by the time you finish the quilt. I love the little girl who keeps you company- and the other pictures of she, Levi, and Andy - oh, I'm proud of you all, and thanks for being you.

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for leaving me a comment. It's great to "meet" you. I love love love the quilt you made for your friend Anne. If you make me one of those I'll send you some magical quilting jammies.

How gorgeous your daughter has an interest in sewing. I've been trying for YEARS to get Chloe interested and she just isn't coming to the party. I sometimes wonder if they swapped babies at the hospital.

Rug up there in cold Alaska and I look forward to seeing more of your quilting adventures.
